Dear young, beautiful and not-yet-married couples!

First, thank you to the circumstances, people, social media or chance encounter that brought us together—at least as far as this first step of getting acquainted :) You have the opportunity to become part of the revival of a cultural and historical heritage site, to co-create and enjoy a wonderful event. Abgunste, in turn, has the opportunity to welcome lovely new clients and continue to grow. Thanks to your event, we may be able to restore a window, create a flower bed in the park, buy large plants or improve one of the rooms. Whatever the case, we can continue to provide work for local helpers, experience for art students and support a creative residency centre. As hosts, we can continue sharing our dream, experience and way of life—perhaps inspiring someone else to take a chance, restore something and share it, creating their dream home or a place where others can be creative, celebrate and/or relax. Or all of these in one place—as happens at Abgunste!

Our rental price already includes so much

String lights, outdoor lanterns, conservatories, furniture (chairs, tables, sofas), rugs, vases, stands/easels, a gift suitcase, chests, garden lighting, firewood for a bonfire, waste removal, a screen, a projector, speakers...

We have created a banquet menu, but the manor's chefs are also ready to accommodate special requests and experiment.

The decorations are made on site, where the lady of the manor (sometimes together with other flower fairies) creates beauty. A magical atmosphere is conjured up based on your colour palette and other wishes, combined with Abgunste's charm and tried-and-tested favourites.

The tableware and glasses have also been chosen to suit the manor's atmosphere, along with silver, gold, bronze or even black cutlery. Tablecloths and napkins are matched to the colours chosen for the event.

Kiss the bride!

After booking and signing the agreement, you will receive several practical tools and templates that almost take the place of a wedding planner in the run-up to the wedding: a sample schedule, an illustrated list of available props, examples of decorations and ceremony locations, table layout diagrams and room plans. On the wedding day itself, our entire staff, led by an event coordinator, will look after you at the manor. That makes life easier for you, your wedding attendants and anyone else responsible on your side—and lets everyone enjoy the celebration more! When you celebrate life with us, you get more than beautiful rooms and delicious food... From the manor, peace of mind is on us!
If the offer you receive is acceptable or open for discussion, the next step is to view the venue, followed by signing the agreement and paying a deposit.

With love,

Asnāte [lady of the manor and Flower Fairy]

Important details!

The celebration barn can accommodate up to 150 guests, but we've also made room for parties of four! The large living room comfortably seats 50 guests. Up to 90 guests can sleep in the manor's beds. The ceremony can be held in the conservatories, by the manor steps, in the barn, in the large living room, by the pond or in the shade of the great oak if the day promises to be very hot.

On request (please specify your preferred date/month/day of the week and number of guests), you will receive a quote for your desired guest count. This can be changed up to 10 days before the event, when the final payment is also due. Individual items can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing their scope and contents. Recently, we've found that accommodation is not always paid for by the hosts; guests can instead book beds at their own expense. More economical options are also available for decorations without sacrificing the overall charm and festive feel—we can discuss all of this together. This may be the biggest event of your life, but it is also the birthday of a new family, or the official recognition of an existing one,  and it isn't worth overspending. Still, good and beautiful things cost money. The quote includes everything associated with the venue, with no hidden costs. You will only need to arrange the other main elements:  clothing and rings, music, photography, a host, printed materials and the wedding cake. Any other details are simply extras that can enhance the event if you wish to plan, organise and pay for them…
